In 2010, Aussie Apples and IGA supermarkets once again teamed up to help the McGrath Foundation support women diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families.
From June 21 2010 to July 16 2010, IGA Supermarkets donated 20 cents to the McGrath Foundation from every specially marked 1kg punnet of IGA Fresh Pink Lady™ or IGA Fresh Granny Smith apples, sold at any of its 1300 stores.
The money raised will help the McGrath Foundation to fund additional McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, as well as increasing breast awareness in younger women.
“We have 55 McGrath Breast Care Nurses helping women, and their families, in communities right across Australia, and with support from our good friends at IGA and Aussie Apples, we look forward to watching that number grow,”
